The beauty of sudoku is that the completion rules are simple; yet reaching to the solution requires serious logical reasoning. The goal is to fill the empty cells of the 9x9 board with numbers, so that each column, row and 3x3 subgrid contains the numbers from 1 to 9 exactly once.

Welcome to the world of Sudoku, the biggest craze since Rubik’s cube. This game looks easy but requires intense concentration, is highly addictive and can be agonizingly frustrating. The deceptive prospect of success will never allow you to give up!!! Sudoku (a.k.a. "Number Single") is a number placement puzzle with an illustrious history behind it. Though the name is Japanese, it has its roots in the "Magic Squares", a game devised by the blind mathematician Leonhard Euler, a native of Basle, in Switzerland in the year 1783. A Japanese publisher of puzzle books created the game in its current form two decades ago. It is also popularly known as Number Place in America. This perhaps explains its global appeal & instant success across continents. It is a current rage in Europe & Asia, featuring in some of the most popular dailies posing the first real threat to the monopoly enjoyed by crossword puzzles in the print media. It is a highly addictive brain-teasing puzzle that can be solved by lateral thinking alone. It conceals mistakes admirably until late on in the game, by which time masochistic instinct prevails and players soldier on. Take heart, this game rewards even those who do not consider themselves natural logicians. There is no mathematics, players just need to think logically and follow instincts. You are invited to embark on a solitary yet inclusive pursuit & tickle your gray cells!!!

Dr Tetsuo's warning: "This game is highly addictive! Play at your own risk!" This is Dr Tetsuo. Dr Tetsuo is doing research on logical thinking and, in the process, is hoping to find some bright minds that excel above others. To achieve this, he has devised a whole multitude of diagram puzzles, called Sudoku, to test those willing to take up his challenge. Sudoku has been around for decades, but only now has it gained worldwide popularity. The rules are simple, fill in the missing numbers within the diagram with a digit between 1 and 9. However, each row, column, and region (one of nine subgrids within the whole diagram) can contain the digits 1 through 9 only once. You get a few digits already placed within the diagram, called givens, but the rest is up to you. Dr Tetsuo won't leave you hanging, however. There are several options to help you. You can enter predicted digits, highlight the same digit in a diagram, as well as have your mistake shown to you. Don't worry if you were never good in math. All you need to rely on here is your logic - mathematical knowledge is not required. As you work your way through his diagrams, Dr Tetsuo will keep track of how well you do. He will note how many diagrams you solve and how long each one takes you. The more diagrams you solve, and the faster you solve them, the more points you'll get. And more points make Dr Tetsuo very happy.
